After having kids, phone conversations don't seem quite enough for our families. We get to look down every day and see both of our little ones change, so hopefully this will give those of you who are far away a little glimpse into our view from up here.
Our View From Up Here

Dear Blog, I haven't forgot you.
It's been a long time... I guess our lives just aren't very exciting these days, but we're extremely busy with work, gardening, and stuff around the house.
The most exiting thing that we've done in the last month is probably taking Kyla to the zoo- She loved the animals and just being outside. We'd love to take her to the Omaha Zoo sometime this summer too- it's much more impressive!
At the end of April, we went to Pella for a visit to old friends. This is Kyla sitting in front of the tulips there.
Tomorrow morning we are leaving for a camping trip with an old friend of Greg's (and his wife and son). We are headed over to the Spencer, IA area until Monday. I'm just hoping that it doesn't rain! My parents have had "the Nomad" for a few years- it's an old little camper, but it's in pretty decent shape. We are using it for the weekend. This is the first time in YEARS that I haven't had to camp in a tent, and I'm really excited!
Kyla has had a bit of a cold and is pretty needy lately, so hopefully she tolerates this camping adventure ok. She loves being outside, so we'll hope for the best!
