Kyla is 10 months old!

Today, Kyla is 10 months old... I think this was the fastest month we've had! And, rightly so with the moving, starting new jobs, etc.
Kyla is a very busy-body. Her favorite things to do are eat (we haven't found anything that she doesn't like... the other day at Qdoba restaurant, she ate a 1/2 cup of guacamole!), talk, play, and be outside.
Her latest accomplishments are learning to climb stairs, "cruising" on furniture, and mastering the "more" sign with her hands. She's also getting good at copying words/sounds we say. And, she has overcome her fear of grass, and will now take off crawling through the yard.
Kyla continues to be a good, happy baby.
We're all getting spoiled by my parents here in Inwood, especially Kyla! But, Greg and I also... we got to go on our first date alone without Kyla last weekend, and yesterday I got to go on the motorcycle with Greg for the first time since she was born. We've been missing out on these grandma/grandpa luxuries!
Lastly, I got some pictures uploaded to share:

This is the week before we moved... Kyla and Carson in front of the lovely Pella tulips!

Me and three of my high school friends all had babies within 4 months of eachother. We had a playdate a few weeks ago-

My first Mother's Day

Here's the infamous swing that my parents set up for her in the yard. She loves it!

And... Kyla proudly showing off her new car. She got this for Christmas, and is now old enough for it.

SOLD

Our house in Pella is sold! We accepted an offer on Wednesday night, the inspection was on Thursday, and everything has gone fine. The closing date will be June 30. We're planning to go down to Pella the weekend of June 11 and move the rest of our stuff.
Though we didn't make money on our house, we're so glad to get rid of it. Now we can take some time looking for a house in Sioux Falls and save some money in the mean-time.

Update

So, I forgot my camera cords in Pella, and I can't get any pictures uploaded here. I would love to share some of the things we've been up to in NW IA, but it'll have to wait.
I have had my first week of orientation at work. I mostly sat in a classroom all week, but I did have two mornings at the clinic I'm working at (the Cardiovascular Clinic in Sanford in Sioux Falls). It's WAY different than the hospital setting that I am used to working, plus it is a WAY bigger network, but I think I'm really going to like it. Not only are the hours good, my co-workers are very nice, and very helpful. And the content is interesting to me.
Greg is busy. Working 12-hour shifts in a bigger city keeps him on his toes, and on his days off, he watches Kyla... never a dull moment. His ambulance made it on the news last night (a car vs. garbage truck accident). He's very humble when it comes to his work, but I'm very proud of him and think it's kinda cool!
As far as our house in Pella... we've had an offer, so we'll keep our prayers going for that. But, we had some water in the basement that the realtor discovered while she was showing the house to a client. (NOT COOL!) We're afraid that this is a slight fall back. Three different potential buyers looked while this was happening. We did warn everyone that this has happened before, but too bad about the timing! Thanks to our WONDERFUL friends (Corrinne & Gary, Paul & Emily, and Jon & Pam) for helping us out while we are helplessly five hours away. Greg might go down to Pella to survey the damage this week, but it doesn't sound like the water was too bad, thankfully!

In Inwood

We are getting settled into our new home. We've arranged the "motel room" how we want it, and even made Kyla her own little divided room. It doesn't look too bad!
Kyla is already getting spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa. They even have a swing in the tree for her, which she loves! (I'll see if I can get a picture on here at some point.) Grandma also went to garage sales in Sioux Falls this week and got plenty of toys and cute summer clothes!
FYI: we do now have a mailing address in Inwood:
PO Box 155
Inwood, IA 51240
Our cell phone numbers are still the same for now.
